Haul: New Shoes

I'm only 5 feet tall, and I'm the smallest in my family so it's natural for me to want to be taller. I love heels, I feel beautiful when I'm wearing them. I would savor my every second in heels since I was in grade school. Back then, I didn't even care if my feet were hurting or if I get "paltos" (blisters), basta maganda shoes ko, ibig sabihin, maganda ako

Anyway, I still love heels. Always have, always will. And I think I'm going to start collecting as many as I can. <3

So here are 3 new shoes of mine. :3

Meet my baby, Samantha :)

My first pair of red shoes from the LOVE of my life <3
Would you believe me if I told you that Samantha is only P450.00 in Magic Mall, Urdaneta, Pangasinan? :)
I love the fact that she's very comfortable despite her height and fit. The thingie that wraps around the ankle is a plus too. Because of this, the shoe clings to my foot better.

Say Hello to Nicola <3

This one is an anniversary gift <3
Gorgeous, isn't she?

My recent purchase, Holly <3 (That's Anton Wanton Noodles the Cat)

My summer shoes :)
I need to have summer shoes right? This was only P290.00 in Isetann, Cubao.
I was so lucky when I went there because this was the last pair in my size! I actually saw this about a week ago and was planning to buy them on the 30th but maybe God wanted me to have Holly so when I went to Cubao for an event, I stopped by Isetann first and without any hesitation, bought this baby . There were no regrets, just plain HAPPINESS... :D

HAUL: March 10, 2012 Haul

Here are some of the things I just bought. This is not a massive haul since I'm saving up for something.

Avon Simply Pretty Perfect & Hide Concealer Stick in Beige
This product is creamy and blends really smoothly. I use this under my eyes and it hides my dark circles.

Avon Simply Pretty Total Curl Mascara (P179.00)
I repurchased this mascara from Avon because it's really good. Although it's not waterproof, it never gave me raccoon eyes.

Fashion 21 Eyeshadow Stick in Grass (P85.00)
I just thought I'd give this color a try. I love green on the eyes so I thought this color would be a perfect base for a green smokey eye look.

Marionnaud N'9 Brush (P120.00)
I've been wanting to get this for a long time now. This 2-in-1 concept is really practical.

Bobbie Nail Polish Remover (P112.00)
This product is really good. And I like that it doesn't leave a white film on my fingers unlike other nail polish removers.

Have a nice day everyone!

Makeup Look: Dramatic Navy Eyes

I've always been scared of blue eyeshadow. I don't know why.. There's something really intimidating about it. It's like wearing a jacket on a hot summer day, it just doesn't feel right. But as an aspiring makeup artist, I have to learn how to make a blue eyeshadow work. I have to find ways to make it look good on me, if not, on somebody else.

I bought a palette last Christmas that to my surprise, actually contains this beautiful navy eyeshadow. But, I didn't use it until now. Then I thought to myself, somehow I need to face my fears right?

So today, I decided to create a navy smokey eyes to see if it's going to look good on me. I have to admit that light colors are not my thing, I prefer dark eyeshadow.. I used navy, black and a little bit of a matte sky blue on the eyes and I was really happy with the outcome. I never thought I would end up liking it.

Here are the steps in creating this look:

1. Use any black eye pencil of your choice as base for all the colors that you're going to put in your lids. Keep the color below the crease. Take this color on the outer part of your lower lash line too.

2.  With your finger or a fluffy blending brush, blend the liner up your crease. Try to keep the shape of the color rounded.

3. Take a shimmery navy eyeshadow a place it on your lids. Don't sweep it to avoid fallout. Blend very well with a clean blending brush. You can do this step again, it's called sandwiching - place the color then blend.

4. With an eyeshadow that is closest to your skin-tone, use this to blend the color on your crease. This will create a beautiful gradient effect.

5. With a flat shader brush, take a matte black eyeshadow and place this on the outer part of your lids creating an outer V. Blend the color very well. Apply this color on your lower lash line too.

6. With the black pencil that you used earlier, line you lash line then use an angled brush with the same black eyeshadow and set the pencil. You can also blend it upward for a more smokey effect.

7. This matte sky blue eyeshadow goes to the inner crease. Don't take this color on the lids.

8. Dust a little bit of  a matte white eyeshadow on your brow bone.

9. Pop a shimmery white eyeshadow on your inner corners and inner lower lash line for a highlight.

10. Tightline your upper lash line and line lower lashline with a black eyeliner then set with a black eyeshadow.

11. Curl your lashes and apply mascara. You can use false lashes too if want. It will make this look more dramatic.

12. Apply blush and a nude lipstick to finish the look.

February Favorites

Hello y'all! I just want to share with you my favorites for the month of February. Some of these things are so important in my daily face routine. I've tried a lot of products and most of them failed me but what I'm going to show you are really good and I do recommend that you try them too and see if you will like them.

Lets start..

February Favorites Family Picture

NYX Nude on Nude Natural Kit
This was one of the things that Judy of ItsJudyTime gave us when she had her meet and greet here in Manila. I love this product because of its versatility. You can create a lot of eye looks with this and do your brows too.

Nichido Stardust Eyeshadow Trio in  Enchanted Green
This trio is perfect for brown eyes. That's why I love it. :)

e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
Emily of Beauty Broadcast really like this product. It's cheap but the quality is great. The Bronzing Powder is perfect for everyday use.

Careline Oil-Control Blush-On in Rosy Cheek
My everyday cheek color. Looks sweet and natural.

NYX Mosaic Powder in Plummy
I use this one at night under my Careline blush for a gradient effect.

Ever Bilena Advance Eyeshadow in Calla Vadji
Using a wet angled brush, I line my eyes with this on times that I don't want to use black eyeshadow. It also look good on you if you have brown eyes.

NYX Single Eyeshadow in Black
The best black eyeshadow :D

HerBench Paint Box in Toffee Hint
This is a matte brown eyeshadow that is very good for contouring the crease. I even use it to contour my cheekbones and forehead.

Avon SuperMagnify Waterproof Mascara
This is probably my most favorite mascara ever. The wand is so thin and small that it coats every single lash and it doesn't clump. It's lengthening and volumizing at the same time.

Here's a photo of me wearing Avon SuperMagnify

Avon Simply Total Curl Mascara
I wasn't expecting anything great when I bought this mascara since it was only P179.00 but when I used it I was surprised that it was better that my Maybelline Magnum. The only downside is that it's not waterproof. But that's OK. Sometimes, it's nice to give your lashes a break from using a lot of waterproof products.

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara
This was a gift from a very sweet friend. I knew I was going to love this even before I started using it. Sometimes, it looks like I have false lashes on with only 3 coats of this mascara.

Fashion 21 Stick Eyeshadow/Liner in Wood
A great base if you are creating brown/bronze smokey eyes. It's going to make your eyeshadow pop. It's super soft and glides smoothly.

e.l.f. Eyelid Primer in Sheer
This is my everyday eyelid primer. I take it up to my brows so that everything will stay in its place for 6-8 hours. (That's how good it is for only P129.75)

Wet n' Wild ColorIcon Pencil Liner in Black/Noir
I bought this after I saw that it was awarded as one of the best eyeliners in a magazine. I have to say that it has a really good staying power and the color is very pigmented. Plus it's a long pencil.

L.A. Colors Eyeliner Pencil in Lime Green
Isn't it gorgeous?  Need I say more?

Here I am using it as a liner under my eyes

San San Eyebrow Pencil in no. 03
When I do my makeup, it takes me more or less 5 minutes to do my brows. And I use a lot of products since I have colored hair. This pencil right here is just the right color for my brows. I doesn't have any red undertones in it. It's perfect and it's only P55.

Nichido Lip Pencil in Rosette
This is my favorite lipliner so far.

Etude House Auto Lipliner
It's the same color as the Nichido one, I just like it because I don't have to sharpen it anymore.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul
I only have 2 shades of the NYX SMLC and the other one I don't like because of its smell.

NYX Matte Lipstick in Bloody Mary
Another gift from Judy. :)

Colour Collection Matte Edition  Lipstick in Vintage
I'm almost out of this lipstick. Yay for me!!

Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Storm
This is my favorite shade of the EB Matte Lipstick Collection. It's dark and sexy. I also have Scarlet but I don't like it that much. I makes my teeth look more yellow. HAHA!

So these are my February Favorites. I hope you enjoyed reading it. If you have questions, feel free to comment down below. :)

Have a nice day everyone!! God Bless Us All!
